Jeff Frazier
After fighting fires as a professional firefighter for 35 years, you’d think that stepping on to the dance floor as one of this year’s local “stars” at the 2012 Redlands Symphony Gala Dancing with the Stars showcase, would be a cakewalk for Jeff Frazier. But that’s not how he sees it.
“My biggest concern is that I have never had a dance lesson,” Jeff says, “And I hope to avoid making a fool of myself when I’m out on the dance floor.”
Jeff has been the Fire Chief in the City of Redlands for a little over 3 years. He and his wife, Paula, have been married for 8 years and have a blended family that includes three daughters and one granddaughter.
While being Fire Chief keeps Jeff pretty busy, when he does have some extra time he enjoys anything outdoors, especially snorkeling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is a member of the Redlands Rotary Club.
How did he become involved in the Redlands Symphony Gala?
“Well, it’s pretty hard to say ‘no’ to Lois Lauer, (Chair of the Gala Dancer Committee),” says Jeff, “And this is a great event that benefits one of Redlands’ cultural treasurers. I was happy to be asked and proud to serve. Now, I just have to make sure I can get the job done without falling.”
